Meet the Team
James Kim PT, DPT
About James
James Kim is a proud Maryland native, raised in Baltimore County and now living in Harford County with his wife, Lauren, their daughter, Natalie, and their son, Owen. Family is at the center of everything he does — and it’s a big reason why he built Cardinal Performance & Therapy with the same level of care he would want for his own kids.
With more than 15 years of experience as a physical therapist, James has worked with athletes of all ages and levels. His passion lies in helping youth athletes grow safely, understand their bodies, and reach their full potential — not just through drills, but by teaching the why and how behind movement. He brings that same commitment to weekend warriors and active adults, guiding them to move better, recover stronger, and continue doing what they love.
At the heart of his work is a simple philosophy: movement is medicine. Whether it’s on the field, on the ice, or in everyday life, James is dedicated to helping people unlock strength, resilience, and confidence that lasts a lifetime.
Quote he lives by:
"The most important thing is to try and inspire people so that they can be great in whatever they want to do." – Kobe Bryant
